The expression Sploosh mimics the sound of splashing, which is most of the time used online as a slang to refer to a female ejaculation or sexual arousal.

What's the origin of Sploosh?

The origin of the term can be credited to the comedy movie Wayne’s World, which was the second SNL feature film starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey.

The term got recognition from the movie, especially after fandoms of the movie shared their favourite quotes, including the ones which made the term more popular.

However, according to Know Your Meme, the expression’s popularity begins with an entry written in 2008 by a user named Timothy Jordan, on Urban Dictionary.

He defined it as “Female ejaculation, not associated with golden showers.”.

Spread and Usage


How did Sploosh spread?

The term started to spread like a rapid fire. It appeared in multiple comedy Tv shows, such as Archer.

In the first season’s 10th episode, the character Pam Poovey used the term “Sploosh” when the main character, Archer discusses his “ménage à trois with two princesses”.

In another episode, a different character named Ray Gillette explains the male version of “Sploosh”.

Since the original Urban Dictionary’s entry, there has been many more written as well.
